Obituary

Edmond Russell Pritchard

February 4, 1957 – May 28, 2020

Edmond Russell Pritchard was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 4, 1957 and departed this earth, to be with the Lord on May 28, 2020 due to a sudden death from an automobile accident.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 4:00 pm at the Greenhorn Mountain Veteran’s Association Hall at 196 Pascoe Road in Glennville, CA 93226.  Food and a live band will be provided as we gather to remember Ed.  He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

Beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, he is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tammy Pritchard AKA Adrian, children: Adam Pritchard (Kristie), Ryan Pritchard (Ally), Breanna Beauford, Jessica Beauford, and Sarah Beauford; grandchildren: Peyton Pritchard, Jaxon Pritchard (Adam),  Charles Pritchard (Ryan), Brogan Waters, Brennan Waters (Breanna), Gracielynn Sanders, Axtynn Clement (Sarah).

Ed was preceded in death by his father, Sion Pritchard, and his mother, Maxine Baker.

Ed worked as a plasterer for thirty years.  After plastering he worked for various kern county school districts as a groundskeeper.  He was a dedicated, efficient, hard worker.  He took pride in all of his work whether it was at home for the family or working for others.  Ed was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who asked or needed it.  His family could always count on him to help with any chore or any request they had.  It wasn’t unheard of to see him cleaning the neighborhood gutters or joining them in doing yard work. He never met a stranger.  During Ed’s retirement years, he spent many hours and days helping out the local ranchers and community members in Glennville with any work they needed just to keep him-self busy.  It wasn’t unusual to see him volunteering at Linns Valley School in Glennville.  He kept their grounds neat and clean and always was there when someone from the school needed him.

Ed loved to hunt with his family and friends.  He began the tradition of hunting each season with his two sons and later adding his youngest daughter.  He enjoyed adding his grand-kids into the hunting trips when he became a grandpa. He always had September 1st marked on his calendar. He enjoyed camping, beach trips, evening walks, and back yard barbecues.  He and his wife were known for their large block parties in their earlier years.  In their later years they enjoyed having their grand-kids over for weekend sleepovers. He enjoyed working in his garden and teaching his grand-kids how to grow vegetables, how to mow a yard, how to pull weeds and how to swim.  He enjoyed life with a zest and we will all miss his laughter and friendship.  You, Edmond Russell Pritchard, will remain in our hearts forever.  You have given us some wonderful memories that we will treasure forever.  As John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Ed recently rededicated his life to the Lord and so we look forward to the day we see Ed again in Gods loving arms.  We know it is not goodbye but see you later!
